Along with my storyboard work on my Off menu project, I wanted to do some visual and art development for it as well. This included a colour script, inspired by Pixar. I loved using this chunky brush to get broad strokes of colour. I decided to flesh out the rhubarb monsters as well as I found them equal parts disgusting and goofy. I loved the concept of these monstrous blobs of mush with stalks and leaves sticking out of them. I also did some rough designs for the three characters as references throughout the storyboard.
